If you're looking for a strategic base to explore Istanbul without breaking the bank, Mataraci Konak Hotel is a solid choice. We stayed for six days, and while the rooms were decent and well-maintained under the attentive care of the lovely Feruza sisters, the highlight was undoubtedly the breakfast-variety aplenty and always fresh. The location is prime; a short stroll takes you to the Blue Mosque and other Old Town attractions, all while offering lovely views of the Marmara Sea. Security and housekeeping were efficient, ensuring a hassle-free stay, though occasional noise did filter through at night. Considering the amenities and the exceptional hospitality provided, this hotel strikes a commendable balance between luxury and value.
